John Sims Jr.
Judge Sims is a graduate of Fleming Co. High School and Maysville Community College where he received a degree in business. After college he returned to his family business to run the day to day operations. In 2010 Sims ran for Fleming Co. Magistrate and was successful in winning the seat. He served of the Fleming Co. Fiscal Court for 6 years before resigning to become State Representative starting in Jan of 2017. He did not seek re-election for State Representative in 2020. In 2022 Judge Sims ran for Fleming County Judge Executive and was successful.
John and his family are members of the Flemingsburg Christian Church where he serves as Elder. He has served as Chairman of the CASA Board for Fleming, Mason, and Bracken Counties, Board member for the Fleming County/Flemingsburg Chamber of Commerce, member of the Flemingsburg and Ewing Volunteer Fire Departments, Lions Club, Fleming Masonic Lodge 112, past board member of the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioner Association, and graduated from the NACO/Cambridge County Leadership Program in Washington DC.
In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, golf, scuba diving and flying.
John is married to his wife Jenny and they have 3 daughters Sophia 18, Isabella 16 and Ava 11.

Kathy Dryden
Kathryn (Kathy) Dryden is the Treasurer of Fleming County; she has served as Treasurer for the past eighteen years. Kathy has worked for the Fleming County Fiscal Court since 1999. Prior to being appointed as the Treasurer, Kathy held many roles within the County's administration, including Administrative Assistant, Deputy Judge/Executive and Finance Officer. She is a lifelong resident of Fleming County. Kathy has been married to Jeff Dryden for thirty-eight years. Kathy and Jeff have two sons, Jarrod (Amanda) and Derrick (Cassie). They have three grandsons: Burkley, who is two years old; Landry, who is one year old; and step-grandson, Zachary Smith. Kathy and Jeff operate a family Farm in Ewing.
